Why Bloubergstrand skin needs a gentler bar

Bloubergstrand sits directly on the exposed stretch of coast facing Table Bay. Wind-driven salt and year-round sun are hard on skin barriers, and it shows up most often as tightness after showering. A soap without palm oil or synthetic detergent tends to leave far less of that stripped feeling.

Every Moondance bar is cold-processed by hand in Blouberg Sands and cured for six weeks. There is no palm oil, no synthetic fragrance, and no detergent base — which is the main reason it rinses without the tight, squeaky feeling that mass-produced soap leaves behind.
